Wall Street Institute Method is a practical and results-oriented way of learning to communicate effectively in English. It is a modular and highly flexible system, where learners are closely supported and encouraged. The Wall Street Institute Method's adaptive mixture of learning modes and approaches enables everyone to succeed, whatever their preferred learning style and previous experience of learning are.

 

The Wall Street Institute Acquisition Cycle

Wall Street Institute's proprietary Acquisition Cycle is the core to learning English at Wall Street Institute. The Acquisition Cycle is a multi-stage learning process based on academically proven English as a Second Language techniques and procedures, and centered around the classic "3 Ps of language learning": Presentation, Practice and Production.

1. Speaking Centre

Students begin the WSI MultiMethod at the Speaking Centre, which presents useful vocabulary, grammar and idioms through dramatized real–life situations. Students develop comprehensive skills in listening, pronunciation and rhythm of speaking through the multimedia course material. It also helps you to be able to hear accents from all over the world.

 

2. Student Manual

The next stage of study is the Student Manual, which contains a summary of the learning points from the interactive lesson at the speaking centre, along with a set of written activities. You will be able to learn by heart without painful memorization.

In addition, each lesson includes periodic checkpoints that allow students to strengthen and review the items they have learnt.

 

3. Encounters

Each session of Encounter Classes has 1 to 4 students who are all at the same learning level. Leaded by native English-speaking teachers, the Encounter Class is focused on building your English communication skills and increasing your self-confidence in using English. The intimate learning environment also allows students to feel comfortable in practicing and applying new speaking skills.

 

4. Social Club Activities

Social Club Activities offer a fun way for students to immerse themselves in English. You will have a lot of opportunities to interact with students of different learning levels in English. Activities include: Chat Café, movie nights, sports events and other special festive events such as Christmas and Halloween parties! You keep learning while having fun!

 

5. Complementary Classes

Do you want extra practice opportunity? Complementary Classes are there for you. You are going to actively interact with fewer than 8 students at similar learning level. Our professional English teachers provide interactive speaking exercises in class to expand your vocabulary and to improve your English speaking fluency. Study topics include regular role-play or debating on a number of topics.

Apart from attending in regular classes and Social Club, you can always improve your English by making good use of English @nytime. No matter where you are, you can have access to all multimedia learning resources. You never stop learning while you are out of the classroom!
