Corporate Social Responsibility

English Experience Program

Highlights

According to a recent survey, Hong Kong people's English proficiency is lower than that of people in other Asian cities, and Hong Kong people's English proficiency has been questioned by society. Some experts point out that the level of English proficiency not only affects career development but also economic development and Hong Kong's international status. Wall Street English takes on the responsibility of educating students in English, improving the English level in Hong Kong, and contributing to the future of society.

As one of the world's largest international English education institutions, we believe that the way to improve the English level of Hong Kong is to create more opportunities for people to apply what they have learned. Wall Street English Academy is now setting up a volunteer team, including professional English foreign tutors and teaching assistants. We hope to help organizations and individuals in need through English scholarships and English practice workshops.

As the name suggests, the "English Experience Program" hopes to stimulate students' motivation and interest in learning English through a complete teaching system and interactive and interesting English activities. We are now looking for partners to work together to give back to the society. Learning has no boundaries, and students’ learning opportunities should not be limited by resources. Therefore, our first step is to care for underprivileged primary and secondary school students, give them more opportunities to learn English, equip them for the future, and accompany them in their growth.

Speak more, listen more & practice more is the key

Wall Street English Academy believes that there is no golden rule to learn English well. Using it more, speaking more, and practicing more are the only ways to success. We have tailor-made 4 different learning and practical English plans, each with specific teaching objectives, so that every student can receive comprehensive learning and support.

The Assist Program

We work with our partners and teachers to provide professional English teaching and practice to help students improve their English proficiency and usage skills. For example, there are English courses tailored to individual needs, including: General English courses, IELTS Prep Support courses, and DSE English comprehensive improvement courses.

English Experience Outreach Program

Designed specifically to make English learning more interesting and realistic, Wall Street English’s volunteer team will host short sessions in which students can have a chance to practice English through interactive games and discussions on daily topics and current affairs.
In addition, Wall Street English also provides English seminars such as IELTS, research skills, presentation skills, etc.
To extend the learning opportunity, Wall Street English designs its extracurricular activities to cater to different needs and provide more practice opportunities to cultivate students’ interest.

Overseas Exchange Program

Wall Street English works with partners, education institutes, NGOs, and charities to provide overseas study programs for students who are committed to improving their English. We have worked with organizations such as Scotland Exchange Connection to organize overseas exchange programs that give students a chance to study abroad to learn and appreciate different cultures.

English Experience Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to dedicated students who are committed to making Hong Kong more competitive. Due to limited resources, we will start our scholarship program for secondary school students and later expand to students and/or working adults.
Scholarships can range from the provision of Practical English classes or DSE classes, to overseas exchange programs and more. Specifically for scholarships, Wall Street English works with participating education institutes to set the selection criteria.
This year, we are having “Have Your Voice Heard” Video-Shooting Competition to help improve students’ English presentation skills by nurturing KOLs of our next generation.

English Fun Day

English Fun Day, one of the activities under the Outreach Program, is an all-in-one English event consisting of multifarious fun English learning activities, for example, interactive English Morning Assembly, Thanksgiving Karaoke Play Station, Chat café and Carnivals. Teachers and tutors from Wall Street English visit schools to provide service, constructing an amicable total English learning atmosphere.
