英文轉折詞：「除此之外」除咗besides，仲可以點樣講呢？

喺 writing 同 speaking 中，我哋經常會用到英文轉折詞，比如用 besides 表示「除咗⋯⋯仲有」嘅意思。表示「除此之外」嘅英文單字同 phrases 有好多，但喺你又知唔知佢哋嘅分別呢？

1. Except

Nothing really matters except to live or die.
除了生與死，沒什麼事是真的重要的。

2. Except for

Except for 和 except 有著微妙的差異，except 是指 not including，而 except for 則是指 excluding。

Except for her illnesses, she had a particularly happy childhood.
除了幾場病痛之外，她有個特別快樂的童年。

3. Apart from

I like all sports apart from football.
除足球之外，我喜歡所有的運動。

4. Aside from

Aside from the picturesque scenery of Sichuan province, the dishes there are also an attraction to tourists.
除了四川如畫的風景以外，川菜對遊客也很有吸引力。

5. Other than

We’re going away in June but other than that I’ll be here all summer.
我們六月份外出；除此以外，我整個夏天都在這里。

6. In addition to

In addition to the school, the village has a clinic, which was also built with government support.
除了這所學校外，這個村子還有一個診所也是由政府支持建造的。
